Founder and Owner
When Jose was a child, he would spend a lot of his time playing outdoors in Austin, Texas. As he grew into his teens, he started to help out his dad and uncle in the landscaping family business. By mowing yards, spreading mulch, and trimming trees, he began to appreciate the art of landscaping.
As he moved through his early education, he would spend his summers working out in the heat, earning a bit of spending money, and becoming more acquainted with bigger landscaping projects. After he graduated high school, he pursued and acquired an associates degree from ACC. Shortly after that, Jose felt like he could lean on his landscaping knowledge and start a Landscaping business of his own.

Ugarte Landscape Management is going on its 6th year of business and is finding more momentum as the years go by. Jose continues to learn and perfect his craft while teaching those around him everything he knows and loves about landscaping.

As a certified ISA climber, clients have a piece of mind knowing that the owner and crew are up to date with the latest and standard practices when it comes to ascending, descending, and felling a tree. You can count on the safety and wellbeing of the workers and your property.

ISA Certified Arborist
To become a certified arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture you must have at the very least a few years of experience in the field of arboriculture. Jose is currently studying for the ISA test and hopes to guarantee his clients, in the near future, that ULM will not only do a great job servicing their trees, but that the work will be completed at a national standard.
2012-2014
Earning a degree in criminal justice helped Jose improve the way he communicates in a professional setting. While the particular subject of his degree doesn't significantly translate to landscaping, he persistently practices the ethics and discipline he learned at school and the police academy.
